Rise in the inflation by %2.9 in April 2010

BAGHDAD / Aswat Al Iraq: The Central Board of Statistic said on Thursday, the general index of the consuming prices has reached to %123.8 for April 2010 keeping its previous level for March last, and registered an increase of about %2.9 in comparison with April 2009. In a report issued by the Board, and Aswat Aliraq received a copy of it, saying that, ” For food and non-alcoholic beverages, their prices have registered a decline during April 2010 by %0.2, compared to last month, due to lowering the prices in Kurdistan Region by %1.7, and by %1.2 in the Central Area.” The report added, ” While the prices have risen by %1.1 in the south, the main reason for these prices to decline in all Iraq “for these two sections”, are due to lowering the prices of fruits, milk, cheese, eggs, suger, suger products, and oil and fats prices, and also other foods.” It said, ” The prices have registered an increase by %3.9 compared to April 2009.” The report goes on saying that, ” As for housing, the prices have increased in all over Iraq by %0.9 within this month, compared to last month, due to the rise in prices in Kurdistan Region by %3.7, and By 0.5 in the South, while it was stable in the Central Area.” “The prices for housing have risen by %4.8 to be compared with April 2009”.
