BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Basra Governor Shaltagh Aboud al-Mayah discussed on Tuesday with a representative of a Chinese company the establishment of a group of hotels in the tourist regions in Basra, according to a media source. “Talks tackled the possibility to gain investment licenses in Basra to establish a number of hotels,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The investment in an important city like Basra represents an important opportunity,” the governor said. “Basra needs to set up a number of luxury hotels to cope with the development in this sector,” he said.
