FM expresses Iraq’s concern over shelling Kurdistan to Iranian counterpart

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari on Tuesday made a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki, during which he expressed Iraq’s concern over the continued Iranian shelling inside Iraq’s territory, according to a ministerial statement. “The minister demanded the immediate cease of artillery shelling and to put an end to the Iranian military movements on borders between the two countries,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Iraqi government is keen on the constructive and positive cooperation to deal with all terrorist activities and the infiltration operations on borders by banned armed groups,” the statement quoted the minister as saying.
