Police detain 24 wanted men, suspects in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested twenty four wanted men and suspects in separate areas of Basra, a police source said on Tuesday. “The forces raided separate areas of Basra, where they arrested seven wanted persons for perpetrating criminal crimes and 17 suspected gunmen,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Policemen managed to defuse a local-made bomb in al-Zubeir district and seized a mortar shell,” he added.
