Iraqi courts release 14 Sadrist detainees

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi courts have released 14 detainees affiliated with the Sadr Movement. “This is part of the national reconciliation project,” an Iraqi governmental source told IraqiNews.com news agency on Wednesday. He referred to nine committees that have been formed in this regard by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. “Other dispatches of innocent detainees will be released weekly over the coming period,” the source noted.
