5 wanted persons nabbed in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Five wanted men were arrested in different areas of Baaquba city on Saturday according to Diala’s police information chief. “Police forces conducted search raids all over Baaquba, arresting five men wanted in accordance with Article 4 of the law on terrorism,” Maj. Ghalib Attiya told IraqiNews.com news agency. “One of the detained persons is a leading member of the Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) who is suspected on involvement several murders and forced relocation operations,” he added. In a separate incident, a security source in Diala told IraqiNews.com that an improvised explosive device (IED) went off on the main road in Imam Weis area, Khanaqin district, near an Iraqi army vehicle, leaving a soldier wounded and the vehicle severely damaged.
