Army defuse car bomb of Fallujah gold thieves

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi army specialized force defused on Saturday a car bomb that was used by the gunmen who took away gold from three gold shops in Falluja city earlier today, killing the shops’ owners. “The car was parked near the Falluja market,” a local police source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He noted that the mission was achieved without any casualties. A jeweler died on Saturday due to injuries he had in an armed robbery earlier today that targeted his gold shop in central Falluja. Earlier, a police source said that two jewelers were killed on Saturday and another was wounded in armed robberies that targeted three gold shops in the city. Police forces on Saturday found another jeweler dead inside his gold shop in Falluja. He was the fourth jeweler killed in the city today within hours. Falluja, the biggest city of Anbar province, lies 45 km west of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 2
