Wounded Falluja jeweler dies

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: A jeweler died on Saturday due to injuries he had in an armed robbery earlier today that targeted his gold shop in central Falluja. Earlier, a police source said that two jewelers were killed on Saturday and another was wounded in armed robberies that targeted three gold shops in the city. “The robberies were launched today by unknown gunmen targeting three gold shops in the al-Nizeeza market in central Falluja,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He noted that police forces closed the market, cordoned off the area, and started tracking down the gunmen who were able to escape. Police forces on Saturday found another jeweler dead inside his gold shop in Falluja. He was the fourth jeweler killed in the city today within hours. “The jeweler’s dead body was found inside his gold shop that was locked from the outside,” a local police source said.
