7 wanted men nabbed, bomb hits police officer’s house in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces in Basra province on Monday arrested seven wanted men, while a roadside bomb went off near a police officer’s house north of Basra city. “Police forces in Basra today arrested six men wanted for criminal cases and one man wanted for terror accusations in 13 raid operations throughout the province,” a local police source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A roadside bomb went off today near the house of a police officer (major) in the 50-Hosh area, 7 km north of the Basra city, causing damage to the house but without any casualties,” the source added.
