Cop killed, 12 Iranian visitors wounded in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: One Iraqi policeman was killed and 12 Iranian visitors were wounded in a car bomb explosion on Monday in east of Baaquba, according to a security source. “A car rigged with explosives went off on Monday (Aug. 16) on the main road in al-Askari neighborhood in al-Muqdadiya district, east of Baaquba,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The car targeted a car carrying visitors coming from Iran to the holy Shiite places in Karbala and Najaf,” he added.
