2 mortars land near green zone

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two mortar shells landed on the banks of the River Tigris near central Baghdad’s heavily-fortified green zone on Saturday but no casualties or losses were reported, according to a local security source. “The mortars landed close to the Babel Hotel and the green zone but left no casualties or losses,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The green zone is home to the Iraqi government offices and Iraqi parliament as well as a complex of U.S. embassy and the British embassy building. AmR (P) 2
