Iraq’s Investment Projects allocated in 2010 Budget:

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Planning Ministry has announced on Monday the allocation of the country’s investment projects in the 2010 state budget, according to a ministry statement today. “The Planning Ministry, in coordination with the Finance Ministry, has allotted the necessary allocations for the country’s investment projects in the general budget of 2010,” the statement stated, as received by IraqiNews.com. It added that 25% of the investment projects that were not implemented during the first six months of the budget would be transferred to other projects. The statement reiterated that the areas that did not witness the implementation of investment projects, due to serious security conditions, “had been excluded from the said decision.” “The Planning Ministry, in cooperation with the Finance Ministry, is preparing the investment plan for the year 2011, that shall coincide with the goals of the national development plan in the country,” the statement concluded.
