Bomber planning to attack Kut park nabbed

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A bomber wearing an explosive belt was arrested before he could enter the amusement park north of al-Kut city on Saturday, a local security source in Wassit said. “Two soldiers from the 32nd Brigade, 8th Division, arrested a bomber with an explosive belt strapped to his waist before he managed his way into the amusement park in the district of al-Nomaniya, (40 km) north of Kut,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Kut had witnessed on Friday (Sept. 10) the closure of all public parks out of concerns regarding possible planned attacks by organizations affiliated with Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) network.
