Mosul policemen kill 2 gunmen, arrest others in clashes

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen shot dead two gunmen and arrested two others in clashes in western Mosul city on Thursday, according to a local police source. “Forces from the 1st Emergency Police contingent, acting upon intelligence tip-offs, on Thursday (Sept. 16) shot down two gunmen and arrested two others in clashes in Bab Sinjar area, western Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The forces also seized two vehicles, five handguns and four hand-grenades,” he said, adding the captured gunmen were remanded under investigative custody.
