2 car bomb blasts in Baghdad’s al-Kadhemiya

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two car bombs ripped through al-Kadhemiya area, northern Baghdad, on Sunday, but no information were available about casualties, a security source said. “Two car bombing blasts took place in Adan square, al-Kadhemiya, northern Baghdad, but there was no word on possible casualties or losses,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Earlier, a security source told IraqiNews.com that the chieftain of al-Bu Ulwan clan was killed in a blast from an improvised explosive device (IED) attached to his vehicle. An IED went off on Sunday morning inside a souk (outdoor market) near al-Nahda garage in central Baghdad, leaving three civilians wounded and causing severe damage to nearby stores. An IED attached to the vehicle of an intelligence officer went off in al-Salhiya complex garage in central Baghdad but left no casualties. AmR (P) 1
