Anbar Council puts the province, Iraq’s interests first in gas investments

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Anbar‘s Provincial Council puts the province’s interest first when it comes to the issue of investments in the Aqaz gas field, stressing that such investments should also fulfill the national interest of Iraq. “Investments in the Aqaz gas field should be according to the conditions proposed by Anbar‘s Provincial Council,” a source from the council told IraqiNews.com news agency on Thursday. He said that natural gas taken out of this field should not be exported to other countries. “We want to exploit this gas in projects inside Iraq that contribute to the country and its people,” the source added.
