Sahwa fighter killed in attack near Falluja

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: A sahwa (awakening) fighter was killed in an attack waged by unidentified gunmen southeast of al-Falluja city on Sunday, according to a local police source. “Unknown gunmen opened fire from their small arms on a sahwa tribal fighter when he stopped at a checkpoint in al-Nai’miya area, southeast of Falluja, killing him instantly,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Policemen deployed near the attack site in search of the culprits,” he said. Earlier, an Iraqi policeman was killed and another wounded in an attack by a group of unknown gunmen in Falluja.
