Cabinet authorizes Defense Ministry to sign MoU with Pentagon

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Council of Ministers authorized the Defense Ministry to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pentagon on protecting the classified military information, an official spokesman of the Iraqi government said on Tuesday. “The Council of Ministers decided during its recent session to authorize the defense minister to negotiate and sign the MoU with the United states on protecting military information in accordance with Article 80 of the constitution,” Ali al-Dabbagh said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency.
