President Barzani, Turkish FM mull government crisis

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: President of Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, discussed on Monday with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu the latest political developments in Iraq and the ongoing talks to form the new government, according to a presidential statement. “President Barzani received on Monday (Oct. 11) a phone call from Turkish foreign minister, with whom he discussed the current political situation and the ongoing talks to form the new government,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Barzani underlined the importance of forming a balanced government that includes all Iraqi factions to strengthen security and stability in Iraq,” it added. “The phone call tackled also exchanging viewpoints regarding several issues of common concern,” it said.
