3 river policemen injured after their boat capsized in Shatt al-Arab

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Three policemen from the river patrols were injured after their boat capsized in Shatt al-Arab waterway on Friday evening, according to a police source in Basra. “The incident took place near al-Maaqal port when the river policemen were on their standard duty,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The source blamed the accident on the “unsafe bad type of these patrol boats,” adding several drowning incidents took place when some of those boats capsized frequently.
