Iraqi delegation to visit Egypt on workers’ rights – paper

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi delegation from the foreign and finance ministries will pay a visit to Egypt soon to negotiate about the Egyptian workers and companies’ rights, according to Egypt’s al-Masri al-Youm newspaper. “Around 1.8 billion dollars owed by Iraq to Egyptians workers and companies,” the newspaper quoted Egyptian Ambassador Mohammad Qassem as saying, noting that there are $900 million owned to Egyptian workers and there is no disagreement about this amount, while the delegation will negotiate about the rest of the amount. Egypt is the only country which enjoys Iraqis’ trust, the matter which was clear during the meetings held with President Jalal Talabani, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari,” the diplomat stressed.
