4 family members wounded in Balad blast

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Four persons of the same family, including two children, were wounded in an improvised explosive device blast in Balad district, south of Tikrit city, on Saturday, a local police source said. “An IED went off as a civilian pick-up truck boarding four persons of the same family in the village of Tal al-Dhahab, east of Yathrib area, Balad, (75 km) south of Tikrit, leaving them seriously wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The explosion, which wounded two children, also caused severe damage to the vehicle,” he added, not giving more information about the incident.
