IED blast in Amara kills bomber, wounds 2 civilians

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: An improvised explosive device (IED) went off in al-Amara city on Saturday, leaving the man who planted it killed and two civilians wounded, a local police spokesman said. “A home-made explosive charge went off in Sector 30 area in central Amara, leaving the bomber killed and two civilian men who happened to be near the blast site wounded,” Ghassan Adnan Hammoudi, the Missan Police Department’s Information & Relations Director, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment,” he said, not giving further details.
