Kurdistan’s three leading presidencies, Kurdistan Parties meet to discuss formation of new government

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Chairman of Kurdistan Region’s Diwan (Office), Fuad Hussein, has announced on Sunday that the Region’s three leading presidencies and the Kurdistan Blocs Coalition in Arbil, to discuss the recent developments regarding the talks between the Kurds and the Iraqi blocs to form the new Iraqi government, whilst a Kurdistan Blocs Coalition‘s source expected that the meeting would announce the official Kurdish Coalition’s position to ally with a certain bloc to form the new government. “Kurdistan Region’s President, Massoud Barzani, its Prime Minister, Barham Saleh and Kurdistan Parliament’s Speaker, Kamal Kirkuki, shall meet later on Sunday with Kurdistan Parties leaders and the Kurdistan Blocs Coalition in Kurdistan Council of Ministers building in Arbil,” Hussein said, adding that the meeting “would discuss the recent developments related to the negotiations between the Kurdish side and the other Iraqi blocs, about the Kurdish negotiation paper and President Barzani’s initiative to accelerate the formation of the government.” Meanwhile, a Kurdistan Blocs Coalition has expressed expectation “that the meeting shall witness the final official Kurdish position regarding alliance with a certain bloc to form the future government.” The President of Kurdistan Region’s President, Massoud Barzani, had launched an initiative to settle the current political crises on 16/9/2010, comprising the formation of an 8-12-member committee, representing the political blocs to start talks among them to settle the suspended differences and discuss the issue of forming a government of national-partnership, as well as the settlement of the issue of the three leading State Positions.
