Meeting of Three Kurdistan Presidencies, Kurdistan Coalition’s meeting starts in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: An extensive meeting was opened in Arbil on Sunday afternoon among the Presidencies of Kurdistan Region and is Parliament with a negotiating delegation representing the Coalition of Kurdistan Blocs Coalition and Chairmen of Kurdistan Parties. The meeting intends to discuss the recent developments related to the Kurds’ negotiations with different political blocs to form the new government, a source in Kurdistan Presidency said. “The extensive meeting among the Region’s Three Presidencies, Chairmen of Kurdistan parties and the negotiating delegation of the Kurdistan Blocs Coalition has started in the palace of Kurdistan Council of Ministers in Arbil,” the source told IraqiNews.com. The source continued that “the meeting was attended by the President of Kurdistan Region, Massoud Barzani, its Premier Barham Saleh, Kurdistan Parliament’s Deputy Speaker, Kamal Kirkuki and the Secretary-General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Kosrat Rasoul, to discuss the recent developments related to the Kurds’ negotiations with different Iraqi political blocs to form the new government.” The Chairman of the Kurdistan Region‘s Diwan (Office), Fuad Hussein, has stated early in the day that the Region’s Three Presidencies would confer with the Chairmen of the Kurdistan Parties and the Kurdistan Blocs Coalition, to discuss the recent developments related to the negotiations of the Kurds with the Iraqi blocs to form the government, whilst a source in the Kurdistan Blocs Coalition expected that the meeting would witness the announcement of an official Kurdish position  by the Coalition with a certain bloc to form the new Iraqi government. The meeting has taken place one day ahead of a Summit meeting scheduled to convene on Monday among the leaders of different Iraqi blocs in Arbil, in the hope of reaching an agreement on the distribution of the leading State posts and the formation of the forthcoming government.
