Trade minister discusses in Syria forming industrial partnerships

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Trade Minister Safa al-Din al-Safi discussed in Damascus with Syrian Minister of Industry Fouad Issa al-Jouni forming industrial partnerships, in addition to solving pending debts problem between the two countries, according to Syrian news agency (SANA). “The meeting tackled the possibility of holding industrial partnerships and to benefit from investment opportunities and infrastructure to realize an industrial integrity between the two countries,” SANA reported. Syria and Iraq had signed on Sunday five memos of understanding for cooperation in World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements, protecting industrial and trade property, increasing exports, youth and sport. Signing the agreements came at the conclusion of the 7th session of the Syrian-Iraqi Ministerial Committee. The minutes of the Committee’s meeting was also signed. SH (P) 2
