Local official survives assassination attempt in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Director of al-Mahlabiya district in Ninewa survived an assassination attempt on Tuesday in west of Mosul, a police source said. “Abdulrahman Hassan Ibrahim survived an attempt on his life when a bomb, attached to his vehicle, went off near Rabiaa district, northwest of Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The explosion caused material damage to his car,” he added.
