CBI dollar sales skyrocketed on Thursday

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) dollar sales on Thursday went up to $185.103 million, compared to $99.015 million in the previous session. “There was no demand on cash, while the foreign transfers outside the country reached $185.103 million, covered at an exchange rate of 1,179 Iraqi dinars per dollar,” according to a CBI news bulletin received by IraqiNews.com news agency. None of the 19 banks that participated in today’s session offered to sell dollars. The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday. SH (P)/SR 2
