Aged man, child killed in 2 Diala blasts

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: An aged man and a child were killed by improvised explosive device blasts in two separate incidents in the city of Baaquba on Sunday, a local security source said. “An IED attached to a cart pushed by an aged man went off on Sunday in the area of Jabinat, central Baaquba, leaving him killed instantly and severely damaging a nearby store,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. In a separate incident, the source added, an IED went off on the main street in the area of al-Hashimiyat, al-Khalis district, (15 km) north of Baaquba, close to a family in a vehicle, leaving a child on board killed and his parents severely wounded. Baaquba, the capital city of the unrest-ridden province of Diala, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad. AmR (P) 3
