Gunman killed while home-making charge in Ninewa

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A gunman was killed while home-making an explosive charge inside his house northwest of Mosul city on Thursday, a security source in Ninewa said. “The gunman was home-making an explosive device inside his house in al-Sultana area, al-Biaj district, (130 km) northwest of Mosul, when it went off, killing him instantly and causing damage to the house,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Security forces had mistaken a powerful blast in the district for a gas cylinder but investigations showed that it resulted from an explosive device the gunman was improvising inside his house,” he added. Mosul, the capital city of the unrest-stricken province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
