Man, son killed in Mosul blast

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A man and his son were killed when an improvised explosive device attached to their vehicle went off in eastern Mosul city on Saturday, a police source in Ninewa said. “An IED went off in a vehicle on Saturday evening in the area of al-Darkazliya, eastern Mosul, leaving a 57-year-old man and his 12-year-old son killed,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The bodies were removed to a morgue in the city,” the source added, not giving more information. Mosul, the capital city of the violence-ridden province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
