ID7b service projects in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Work is underway on a number of service projects at a total cost of more than 7 billion Iraqi dinars (roughly $5.9 million) in the Kurdish city of Arbil, Governor Nawzad Hadi announced on Sunday. “A local contracting company embarked on works to expand and pave the 2.6-km-long main entrance between Arbil and Kirkuk with a 600-meter-long water course to absorb floods,” Hadi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The project’s costs hit 6.3 billion Iraqi dinars, financed by the Provincial Development Budget (PDB) for the province of Arbil,” he added. He said another project would envisage a sewage network and the opening of an internal road for Roshenberi district in western Arbil at a cost of 9.2 million dinars. “A third project would see the rejuvenation of Tirawa souk (market) road with drilling of a 550-meter-long sewage network at a cost of 300 million dinars,” he said. Arbil, the capital city of the semi-autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan Region, lies 360 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 2
