Mortar attack targets U.S. Camp in Hilla

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: Three persons, including a policeman, have been injured in a mortar attack on a U.S. Army camp in western Iraq’s Hilla city, the center of Babel Province, on Sunday, a Babel police source said. “A group of armed men launched six mortar shells on a U.S. Army camp in Hilla city,” wounding 3 people, including a policeman and destroying the two civilian’s car,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency, but failed to report whether the attack had caused any human or material losses in the camp. This marks the second time that this U.S. Army camp has become a target of attacks over the past three days. Hilla, the center of Babel Province, is 100 km to the south of Baghdad. SKH/SR 60
