Rusafa Water Project gives 400 liters daily per person – official

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The average share of every Iraqi citizen shall be 400 liters daily, following the completion of the Baghdad Rusafa Water Project, according to a statement by the Lord-Mayorship of Baghdad on Sunday. “A French company, together with two Iraqi companies, are continuing the execution of the Rusafa Water Project, planned to produce about 910,000 cubic meters of pure water per day, upon its completion of its 1st phase, for the cost 1,136 billion (b) dinars, with a maximum implementation period of 28 months,” the Mayorship’s media office reported. He said the project, the largest of of its type in the Middle East and the second largest in the world, is expected to be completed according to its maximum scheduled period according to the specifications of the World Health Organization (WHO), to make Baghdad and two other world cities, the largest cities producing 400 liters per-person per-day.
