Watban Khidher Hadi sentenced to execution

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq‘s Supreme Criminal Court has sentenced a member of Iraq‘s former ruling Baath Party, Mizban Khidher Hadi, to execution under charges of having partaken in the execution of a number of Iraqi Feili Kurds during the rule of the former regime that fell in the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003. “The Supreme Criminal Court has sentenced Mizban Khidher Hadi, charged in the case of executing Feili Kurds,” the semi-official al-Iraqiya Satellite TV Channel reported on Monday afternoon. Iraq‘s Feili Kurds, the majority of whom reside in the Iraqi towns and areas bordering Iran, belong to the Sunni sect, whilst the majority of Iraqi Kurds belong to the Shiite sect. SKH/SR 1
