Al-Iraqiya to occupy 12 posts in next cabinet – spokesman

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Al-Iraqiya Bloc, led by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, is expected to occupy 12 cabinet posts in the new Iraqi government, its spokesman, Shaker Kattab, said on Tuesday. Kattab noted that his blocs main target is to occupy the oil and finance ministries. “Al-Iraqiya Bloc is to occupy 12 ministerial posts in the next government, which is our electoral right, in addition to the posts of deputy president, deputy prime minister and the Chairmanship of the Supreme National Council for Strategic Studies,” Kattab told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Our thoughts are now concentrated on holding the posts of oil and finance ministers, although this has yet to be settled,” he said.
