INA scored 13 Parliamentary committees chairmanship

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s National Alliance (INA), consisting of the State of Law, led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, the Iraqi National Alliance, led by Cleric, Ammar al-Hakim and the Fadhila (Virtue) Party, has scored the chairmanship of 13 Parliamentary committees, its Legislature, Abbas al-Bayati, has announced on Wednesday. “The National Alliance has been granted the chairmanship of 13 committees of the Parliament, among them the Committees of Security, Defense, and Foreign Relations,” Bayati told IraqiNews.com News Agency. “A difference exists about the increase of the number of Parliamentary committees, as there is a proposal to add another committee carrying the name of “Constitutional Laws Committee,” Bayati said. A member of the Committee, assigned for the adjustment of the Parliament’s Internal System, Izzidden al-Dawla, had reached an agreement on the formation of 26 parliamentary committees in the current legislative session, provided that the proposal be brought to the Parliament for voting on it on Thursday.
