Army soldiers shoot 3 gunmen dead in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi army forces shot down three gunmen, one of them of an Arab nationality, and arrested a Moroccan west of Mosul city on Thursday, according to a source in the Ninewa Operations Command (NOC). “An Iraqi army force opened fire on three gunmen, one of them of an Arab nationality, during a military operation conducted in the village of Mshirfa, west of Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The force also detained a Moroccan gunman during the operation that was launched upon intelligence tip-offs,” he said. The source did not reveal the nationality of the “Arab” gunman but said the Moroccan detainee is under investigative custody for further details on how he entered Iraq.
