Joint force detains 17 wanted men, suspects in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A joint force arrested on Thursday 17 wanted men and suspected gunmen in Kirkuk, a senior police chief said. “A joint force of Kirkuk Districts Police Department (KDPD) and Tarklan police arrested on Thursday (Dec. 2) three wanted men; the first belongs to the Islamic State of Iraq, the second is wanted in accordance with article IV Terrorism Law, while the third one belongs to Ansar al-Sunna armed group,” Brigadier Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Another joint force, backed by U.S. troops, waged a security oepration in al-Senaai neighborhood, southwest of Kirkuk, where 13 suspects were arrested,” he added. “A wanted man was arrested in Daqouq district, southern Kirkuk,” he said.
