French amb. arrives in Anbar

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: French ambassador in Baghdad Boris Bouillon arrived in the province of al-Anbar on an unannounced visit Sunday, according to a source close to the Iraq Sahwa (Awakening) Congress Chairman Ahmed Abu Risha. “Bouillon was received at al-Shamiya Palace in northern al-Ramadi city by Sheikh Ahmed Abu Risha and some tribal chiefs and notables in the province,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Bouillon will pay a visit to the Anbar Provincial Council after his meeting with Abu Risha,” the source added. Ramadi, the capital city of the predominantly-Sunni province of al-Anbar, lies 110 km northwest of Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 1
