5 wanted persons detained, bomb explodes in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested on Monday five wanted men and seized light weapons, while a bomb exploded near a U.S. convoy in separate incident in Basra, a police source said. “Policemen launched 11 security raids in separate areas in Basra, where they arrested five wanted men, and seized lights weapons,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A roadside bomb went off near a U.S. convoy in al-Shuaabiya region, western Basra, without causing damage,” the source added.
