BABEL / IraqiNews.com: U.S. jets on Monday pounded a region in northern Babel, with no reports on casualties, according to a security source. “A number of U.S. jets pounded this afternoon al-Buhayrat region, al-Askandariya district, north of Hilla,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency, noting that the U.S. army has not informed Iraqi authorities about the operation. “The attack could target some armed cells in the region,” he said.
