BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq ‘s Technical Education Commission has celebrated the new Islamic Hijri Year in a special way, adopting 25 orphans, in the fields of financial aids, education and health. “Orphans are part of the duty of the society and state,” Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Abdul-Hussein told IraqiNews.com news agency, saying that his Commission’s initiative to adopt orphans represents part of its service of the society that it followed since 2004. “The said initiative is not considered less important than the Commission’s educational or practical means to rehabilitate the unemployed people and those who have been released from prisons and detention centers recently,” Dr. Shaker said. He said that his Commission had reached an agreement with “Al-Manar League for Adopting Orphans, to adopt 25 orphans on occasion of the new 1432 Hijri Year, being an initiative to be followed by everybody.” SKH 635
