Al-Qaeda leader captured in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested on Friday al-Qaeda leader and seized amounts of weapons in northern Wassit, according to commander of the Quick Response Department. “QRD forces arrested today (Dec. 10) al-Qaeda emir in a security raid in al-Khanassa region, al-Suweira district, north of Kut,” Colonel Aziz Amara told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The forces seized light weapons and a number of hand grenades found in his possession,” he added.
