Two men wanted detained in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Two men, wanted for terrorism charges, have been detained by a joint force in northern Iraq‘s oil-rich city of Kirkuk on Wednesday, according to a senior police officer. “A joint force has detained in a Kirkuk district, a man wanted by the U.S. Forces according to Article 4 – Terrorism,” Brigadier Sarhad Qadir told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that “a Kirkuk police force had arrested another man, wanted for the same charges, at a checkpoint on the main road, connecting Kirkuk with Huweija district, west of the city, and the detained person was handed over to the Anti-Crimes Directorate. Brig. Qader said that “a joint force discovered an ammunition depot, hidden in an agricultural area, close to Mahuz district, southwest of Kirkuk.” “The ammunition depot was discovered due to intelligence information,” Qader said, giving no further details.
