One billion (b) Iraqi dinars allocated to buy palm dates from Iraqi farmers:

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq‘s Agriculture Ministry has allocated 112 billion (b) Iraqi dinars (US$1,079 millions approx) to buy palm dates from farmers and owners of farms in different parts of Iraq, according to the the Ministry’s Media Director on Thursday. “The Ministry has defined the price of each ton of 1st class dates at 450,000 dinars, 2nd class – 350,000 and 3rd class – 250,000, along with prearing special stores for dates in different Iraiq provinces,” Samir Dahash told IraqiNews.com news agency. Dahash said that the Agriculture Minsitry has laid a program to sell the ton of palm dates for merchants and exporters for 100,000 Iraqi dinars, “as a step to encourage the export of Iraqi dates.” HSH (A) / SKH 4
