Egypt’s FM arrives in Iraqi Kurdistan to open consulate in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit arrived in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region on Sunday to meet with Kurdish officials and open an Egyptian consulate in the city of Arbil, an informed source said. “Foreign Minister Abul-Gheit was received at the Arbil International Airport by his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari, the region’s interior minister Kareem Sinjari and other Kurdish government officials,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He added that Abul-Gheit had a meeting with Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani and discussed bilateral relations binding the two sides. AmR (P) 69
