Kurd kidnapped, al-Qaeda element arrested in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Unknown gunmen kidnapped on Wednesday a Kurd citizen in central Kirkuk, while a joint force arrested al-Qaeda element in southern part of the province, according to a senior police officer. “Unknown gunmen kidnapped a Kurd in central Kirkuk late Wednesday (Dec. 29),” Brigadier Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency, noting that the kidnapped man lives in al-Baath neighborhood in central Kirkuk. “A joint force of Kirkuk Districts Police Department and Tarklan police arrested this afternoon al-Qaeda wanted man in al-Daqouq district, southern Kirkuk,” he added.
