One dead, 10 wounded in attacks on Christians in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: One man was killed and 10 others were wounded in the attacks that target Christian houses in Baghdad on Thursday, a security source said on Friday. “The death toll of the attacks on Christian in Baghdad reached one dead and 10 wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency, noting that the targeted houses in al-Ghadier regions, southwestern Baghdad, 62 street in al-Karada and al-Aameriya regions in al-Khadraa neighborhood, west of Baghdad, and in al-Mekanik neighborhood and al-Sidiya region, southern Baghdad. Christians across Iraq have been living in fear since the assault on Our Lady of Salvation Church as its Catholic congregation was celebrating Sunday Mass. Sixty-eight people was killed. Church officials in Baghdad, as well as in the northern cities of Kirkuk and Mosul and the southern city of Basra, said they will not put up Christmas decorations or celebrate midnight Mass.
