Hostage freed 48 hours after kidnapping in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi army force freed a man taken hostage 48 hours after he was kidnapped in northern Mosul city on Saturday, a military source said. “An Iraqi army’s 2nd Division force stationed in Mosul freed today (Jan. 8) a man kidnapped in al-Qahira neighborhood, northern Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The freed man is in a good health condition, he said, not giving further details. Mosul, the capital city of the unrest-stricken multi-ethnic province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
